There is no regeneration on the schedule for Jodie Whittaker’s Thirteenth Doctor on Doctor Who and we are excited about that!

Whittaker sat down with Entertainment Weekly to confirm that she is coming back for another season. More specifically, she stated “Yes, I’m doing another season. That might be a massive exclusive that I’m not supposed to say, but it’s unhelpful for me to say [I don’t know] because it would be a massive lie! [Laughs] I absolutely adore it. At some point, these shoes are going to be handed on, but it’s not yet. I’m clinging on tight!”  She didn’t say “just one more season” so there may be more than that for Jodie Whittaker and her turn as the Doctor.

Jodie Whittaker also chatted about how her life has changed in the social arena. She hangs out with the “family” that’s been created on the set of Doctor Who. She tries to go incognito in public by wearing a baseball cap on the tube (subway). However, she also said that the Whovians she does pass in the street are lovely to her.

Whittaker  mentions the fan art that she has seen from Whovians when talking about whether she looks at critical reviews or not. Her take on what folks think of the show is smart and healthy,  “I’ve seen loads of fan art, which I always love. But it’s never been that great for me to immerse myself in noise that you can’t control, good or bad. I think both are a rabbit hole that you shouldn’t necessarily go down. We know that we work really hard for the show to be the best it can be in this moment. Once it’s out in the ether, how people feel, in a way, is kind of irrelevant.”
