“There’s no use being squeamish; we’ve got a future to save.”

Whovians, brace yourselves for an epic journey over six thrilling installments! The BBC unveiled the official trailer for Doctor Who: Flux on Friday, a six-part series serving as Jodie Whittaker‘s farewell season.

The roughly one-minute trailer reveals familiar faces: Cybermen, Sontarans (reminiscent of classic Doctor Who), Weeping Angels and Ood. Additionally, there’s the enigmatic threat of “the flux,” something drawing allies and foes of the Doctor across the universe.

We get to see more of Dan (John Bishop) in action and Yaz (Mandip Gill) and the Thirteenth Doctor (Whittaker) in quite the pickle. Stunning visuals and intriguing special effects punctuate the Doctor’s and the universe’s newest danger.

Jacob Anderson makes an appearance as Vinder, while we see Blake Harrison and Robert Bathurst returning to the world of Doctor Who. Bathurst appears to reprise his role as Chris Hector, a Sergeant for UNIT.

Earlier, we learned Chris Chibnall writes every episode of the new series save episode four, which he co-writes with Maxine Alderton. Newcomer Azhur Saleem and Jamie Magnus Stone share directorial responsibilities.

This trailer restores my faith in the Whoniverse, and I can’t wait for Season 13. It looks like a fitting sendoff for the Thirteenth Doctor, and the returning creatures make it all the more enticing.

Doctor Who: Flux stars Jodie Whittaker, Mandip Gill and John Bishop. You can watch the official trailer below and take a peek at some of the Doctor’s upcoming guest stars. Get ready for adventure when the season premieres on Sunday, October 31, only on BBC America.
