Who knew my favorite moment from the DND Direct today would be an 80s theme song about our next set of absolute legends? Okay, pretty much everyone. At least, I can say that I am consistent. The upcoming Wizards of the Coast live-play series Legends of the Multiverse is right up my alley. It is packed with household Dungeons and Dragons names and promises epic adventures told over 1-hour prerecorded episodes.

Legends of the Multiverse is an ambitious project that tells interwoven stories of several adventurers across, you guessed it, the multiverse. The main cast of the series includes Deborah Ann Woll, B. Dave Walters, Gina Darling, Meagan Kenreck and Todd Kenreck. The trailer also showed us that we can expect to see Brennan Lee Mulligan, Aabria Iyengar, Ginny Di, Anna Prosser, Deejay Knight, Emme Montgomery, Travis McElroy, Sungwon Cho, Jim Zub and Boo! We honestly don’t need to know anything else about the story to be in love.
From the visuals and the announcement of Spelljammer: Adventures in Space, it looks like the new series will be taking place within that universe. Boo being listed as the miniature space hamster is a dead giveaway. Since the series is coming out prior to the adventure dropping, this will most likely give us our first look at what we can expect to experience. Hopefully, they don’t include any space clowns. Vampirates, I am totally down for though. Bring on all the vampirates.
The series will feature rotating dungeon masters for each new adventure arc, so there is a chance we will get to see these fantastic creators behind the screen as well. Legends of the Multiverse kicks off on April 27, 2022, at 5 PM PST/8 PM EST on Wizards of the Coast’s Twitch Channel. Check out the announcement trailer below!
