We have been patiently waiting for more news about the long-awaited Dungeons and Dragons film from Paramount Pictures. And our patience has paid off! During today’s DND Direct event, Wizards of the Coast, along with directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, dropped the title and release date. The film is officially titled, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. And yes, there is honor, maybe a bit of a different definition, but still there.

During DND Direct Goldstein shared, “It’s a dream come true to bring the Forgotten Realms and the Sword Coast to life. We just wrapped shooting in some of the world’s most incredible locations.” We are excited to see just how the real world transforms itself into some of the most iconic destinations we have explored throughout our TTRPG play-throughs. Personally, I’d love to see a glimpse at the Moonsea and a reference to Elisande from the Shadows over the Moonsea Adventurer’s League campaign.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves stars Chris Pine, Hugh Grant, Sophia Lillis, Michelle Rodriquez, Justice Smith, Daisy Head and RegΓ©-Jean Page. It has been a long road for the film, thanks to issues with film rights and COVID, but we are finally at the end of the road. But the movie isn’t the only thing we are expecting. They have also previously announced that a live-action TV series is in the works that will take place within the same universe as the film. They haven’t shared if it will occur before, during or after the events, but we know it will be epic.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will hit theaters on March 3, 2023. Hopefully, we will start to see trailers in the next few months! Are you excited to dive into this adventure? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
