THE MANDALORIAN Season 2

In a year far, far away, The Mandalorian & Grogu is set to release, following the successful  Disney+ series The Mandalorian.

Set for release on May 22, 2026, The Mandalorian & Grogu will star Pedro Pascal, once again playing Din Djarin, the space bounty hunter. The movie begins production this year and is directed by Jon Favreau.

“I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created,” Favreau said in a press release on the Star Wars website. “The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”

The official project summary shares little details about the movie. It only describes what lovers of the show know, saying the Mandalorian forms a strong bond with Grogu, a creature he was once tasked with capturing. As production has yet to begin, expect more details to emerge late this year.

Disney fans old and new are again going to infinity and beyond. A new Toy Story film is on the horizon.

Toy Story 5 is slated for release on June 19, 2026. The sequel was first announced in February 2023 by Disney CEO Bob Iger and will look to bring the franchise to its former glory after the dismal performance of Lightyear

The most recent installment to the series was in 2019, with Toy Story 4 topping $1 billion at the box office.

“We are leaning into our unrivaled brands,” Iger told The Hollywood Reporter when announcing Toy Story 5 in 2023.

The last time we saw Woody and Buzz Lightyear together on the big screen, they had a new owner and home, as Andy grew up and went to college. While it brought the end of the original storyline to a close, it will allow filmmakers a fresh start for Toy Story 5.

Tron: Ares

A new movie is set for the Tron series. Here is the first look.
First look at Tron Ares

Fans of the Tron series know this film has been in the making for a long time. Some version of a follow-up film has actually been in discussion since the last Tron movie, Tron: Legacy was released in 2010. Small announcements have kept fans in the loop in the years following. With the original 1985 Tron movie’s success looming, Tron Ares officially has a release date — October 10, 2025.

The plot has changed over the years. But, in 2017, it was determined the franchise would move to a reboot over a direct sequel to Tron: Legacy. Jared Leto is cast to play the titular main character Ares, a new character in the franchise. Other well-known names join him in the movie, including Evan Peters, Arturo Castro, and Greta Lee.

According to its official synopsis, the movie “follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings.”
