As we get closer to the March 9th release of Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time, we’re now getting more information on the characters, new images, and now the official movie poster for the film.
The poster is every bit as ethereal and strange as the images and the trailer for the movie. It shows the main cast of characters, with Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, and Reese Witherspoon’s three mysterious characters Mrs. Which, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Whatsit, respectively, in the front and center. Then we see Meg Murry (Storm Reid) followed by Meg’s brother Charles Wallace (Deric McCabe) and their friend, Calvin O’Keefe (Levi Miller). And by the looks of it, everything seems to spiral around the the central figure of Meg’s father, Mr. Murry (Chris Pine).

It looks like director Ava DuVernay has put together a stellar cast of actors and is holding true to the mystical world that was created in the 1962 book. The more I look at the images, the poster and the trailer, I know that this will be a fantastical ride, but I will admit that I need to reread the book by Madeleine L’Engle and immerse myself in the story she told. I feel that only then I can truly enjoy the beauty and the spectacle that DuVernay has in store for us.
