The Past Always Finds You

Lurking with vengeful malice is Kevin Kline’s Stephen Brigstocke. Kline plays Stephen in both timelines. And as the troubling novel is dedicated to “My son, Jonathan,” figuring out the author doesn’t appear to be a part of the mystery. Leila George plays Young Catherine in the 2001 timeline, seen in the trailer gallivanting and canoodling with Jonathan Brigstocke (Louis Partridge).

Can We Handle the Truth?

While much of the story’s tension lies in the present where Catherine races to stop Brigstocke from exposing her, the trailer below also hints that her secret from 2001 is something both nefarious and tragic. With an stellar ensemble cast fleshed out by Lesley Manville, a cameo by Christiane Amanpour, and the voice of Indira Varma narrating, this promises to be a memorable limited series event.
