Even more bad news for the DCEU. Director Doug Liman has parted ways with DC on Justice League Dark. This news just coming a day after Zack Snyder had to step down from Justice League

According to Variety, Liman has had to step down due to scheduling issues. His other film, Chaos Walking, just got the green light which may be reasoning for depature from the film. WB had no comment. The film has been in production hell, with the film originally being directed by Guillermo del Toro. Liman had also stepped away from the Gambit project to take on this, which makes his leaving all the more disappointing. There are no further updates as of yet regarding the future of the project.

Justice League Dark is a subsection of the Justice League team that focuses on the supernatural side of superheroes. The team consists of Constantine, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Deadman, and a rotation of others. They’re tasked with fighting magical and supernatural beings that the Justice League either cannot handle or can’t get to. They’re a ragtag bunch that can explore the darker and more morbid side of things, which is really refreshing. So it’s a real disappointment the project is further delayed. It’s also disappointing that Liman has to step down as he was a wonderful choice to take on the mantle.

What do you think of Liman departing the project? Let us know. Justice League Dark has no release date and now no director.
