Diablo officially turns 20 (damn, we’re old) on December 31. Blizzard isn’t going to let it pass quietly, planning in game events for all their properties to celebrate the milestone in style.
Announced earlier this year at BlizzCon, Diablo 3 is getting The Darkening of Tristram which places the original game inside the sequel. Relive the grainy, gritty, old school graphics and sounds as you attempt to take down the 4 original bosses. At first, this is all that was announced, leaving many fans scratching their heads. Surely an anniversary such as this should have something more. More is exactly what it will have.
Announced through the official blog, all Blizzard games are getting in on the anniversary fun. Some games will only get a few cosmetic items, others look to get full blown in game events. Unfortunately, there aren’t many details yet, just teasers for things to come.
