Welcome to Tavern Talk Thursday! We are expanding! What started as a column dedicated to chatting with members of the TTRPG community is growing to talk about all things TTRPG and board games. We aim to continue sharing everything we love about the community and all the content within. So, consider this a little peek into our favorite worlds and creators as we explore everything we love.
As the holidays loom in the close distance and the end of 2024 is around the corner, it’s time to look at our final Kickstarters to keep an eye on. December brings some fun adventures and resource materials that every TTRPG player can enjoy.

December Kickstarters to Keep an Eye On
The Lost Chronicles of Oz
Our first Kickstarter for December is J Everett Nichol’s The Lost Chronicles of Oz. Like most people, Wicked is playing on repeat in our minds. This TTRPG drops players in Oz, giving them the chance to adventure down the yellow brick road and deep into the heart of Oz. It features playable races based on L. Frank Baum’s works. It will release under the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 4.0 license, allowing everyone to create their own adventures, characters, critters and more. We can’t wait to explore Oz with friends and family alike.

100 Unique Locations for D&D 5e Volume 2
Are you looking to spice up your TTRPG adventure but unsure where to start? We suggest checking out Igor Antunes’ 100 Unique Locations for D&D 5e. This second volume is released and packed with fresh new places to take your adventurers. It includes adventure hooks, engaging conflicts and atmospheric descriptions to bring each place to life. We love the idea of being able to throw a new area at players when they get bored in their current adventure or as a way to kick off a fresh new campaign.

The Cursed Village of Eldermire
We might be entering the jolly holiday season, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be excited about a spooky story. Jason Mellas’ The Cursed Village of Eldermire is a gothic roleplaying adventure for Dungeons and Dragons 5e built for fresh level one characters up to level four. This is Mellas’ first foray into Kickstarter, but the creator has been a dungeon master since the 80s and has been spinning his tales for just as long. It’s a tremendous, spooky village adventure that will catch the adventurers’ interest at your table.

Book of Natural Magic Zine 002
Our final Kickstarter to watch in December is Dan Sprietzer’s Book of Natural Magic. This is the second installment in the series that brings players back to nature. It includes a plethora of unique natural ingredients for potions, elixirs and salves. It’s an excellent addition for players who love wandering woods and brewing their fate. It’s a great resource for dungeon masters and players and makes a great gift.
