The cast of Marvel’s Deadpool 3 keeps growing. Today, it was announced in an article at Deadline that two alums from the previous Deadpool movies will return alongside Ryan Reynolds in the titular role. Karan Soni will reprise the role of Dopinder, while Leslie Uggams will return as Blind Al.
All in the Found Family
Both Dopinder and Blind Al were introduced on-screen in 2016’s Deadpool. Furthermore, they both previously returned in 2018’s Deadpool 2. Both Dopinder and Blind Al are normal humans. However, they befriend and become wrapped up in Deadpool’s madcap fourth-wall-breaking adventures.

Blind Al is a character who was originally introduced in the panels of Marvel Comics. She first appeared in 1997’s Deadpool #1 by Joe Kelly, Ed McGuinness, Nathan Massengill with Norman Lee, and Chris Lichtner. When Deadpool lived in San Francisco, she was ostensibly his prisoner. However, their bizarre relationship meant that she often played a role more similar to a roommate. This development is reflected in the character’s on-screen adaptation.
Meanwhile, Dopinder is a character who made his first appearance on the big screen. In Deadpool, he is a taxi driver who is hailed by Deadpool on the way to his climactic battle with Ajax (Ed Skrein). In Deadpool 2, Dopinder has become friends with Deadpool and is seen working in the bar where Wade likes to drink. However, he still has his taxi, which plays a critical role in dispatching the sequel’s antagonist, the Headmaster of the Essex Home for Mutant Rehabilitation (Eddie Marsan), a conversion therapy center.
Deadpool 3
Soni and Uggams are just the latest actors to be confirmed for Deadpool 3. Previously, it was announced that Matthew Macfadyen and Emma Corrin will join in undisclosed roles. Furthermore, Hugh Jackman will reprise the role of Logan, A.K.A. Wolverine. While there’s no word yet on whether or not fan-favorites Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) or Yukio (Shioli Kutuna) will return, we can hope!
