DEADPOOL 2 Star Promises Josh Brolin’s Cable is Epic

Ryan Reynolds was born to play Wade Wilson, the merc with the mouth known as Deadpool — the wise-cracking, fourth-wall-breaking, unkillable mercenary/assassin created by Rob Liefeld in the early 90’s. We saw his debut in 2016 and he surprised the entire world by having a worldwide gross of $780 million. No one was more surprised than Fox, who had been denying attempts at making the film for years. However, after the runaway success of that film, they now seem to be realigning their entire X-Men franchise to be more in step with that film, tone and character.

And now, according to Ryan Reynolds, actor Josh Brolin, was born to play the time-traveling mutant soldier Nathan Summers, a.k.a. Cable. Production on the highly anticipated sequel, Deadpool 2, which will hit theatres next year, is currently under way, but the high-profile actor found time to speak with Fandango about his co-star, whom you may recognize as Marvel Thanos. As he told the online site, “I think it’s going to be very interesting. I’ve spent this last week on the business end of many Josh Brolin punches. Both verbal and physical and literal and it’s going to be pretty fantastic. He’s going to be epic. He’s going to be an epic Cable.”

The business end of Cable’s punches cannot feel great. Have you even seen Josh Brolin lately?

Yeah. Dude’s gonna land some serious blows on Deadpool.
