DEADPOOL 2 Has Wrapped! Ryan Reynolds Celebrates By Giving Fans a Golden Easter Egg

Deadpool 2 has finished filming. While we had some tragedy along the road, the merc with the mouth’s second outing is highly anticipated by fans. So in celebrating the official wrapping of the film, star Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram and gave a heartfelt shout-out and gave fans a hilarious Easter egg to enjoy.

In the comics, Wade Wilson is obsessed with Bea Arthur, best known from The Golden Girls. Don’t ask why, he just really loves her. So, the production team decided to bring that obsession to the screen in one of the best ways possible. In the first film, he wore a shirt with her image on it. But it’s going one step further in the sequel. In two separate photos, Reynolds shared images of the hilts on his two katanas. One is “Bea” and the other is “Arthur”. I mean, does it get any better than that?

In addition to the katana images, he shared images of the director, makeup team, costume department and more, giving his sincere thanks to everyone. Hilariously, he also called the film Deadpool 2: A Song of Fire and Ice. And I’m going to push my glasses higher on the bridge of my nose and correct him – it’s A Song of Ice and Fire. Yes, I went there! But! It’s still hilarious and we can’t wait to see Bea, Arthur and Deadpool kick major butt together.
