Behaviour and Dead By Daylight dropped some more lore on us today with the reveal trailer for the upcoming Tome II: Reckoning. Following the wildly popular Tome I: Awakening, we have the next installment of stories on our favorite characters. If you aren’t familiar with how the tomes work, they are challenges players can complete to unlock rift fragments and blood points. Some of the challenges also unlock smaller bits of lore that help to expand on the backstories of the killers and survivors.

Tome 1: Awakening covered the two playable characters, survivor Claudette Morel and killer Evan MacMillan or The Trapper. It also introduced some backstory on a character referred to as The Alchemist as well as the Entity. Now from the trailer, we know Tome II: Reckoning will introduce lore for the killer Rin Yamaoka (The Spirit), killer Herman Carter (The Doctor), and survivors Jane Romero and David King. It will be interesting to see what kind of tales we will get for these four and if there are any other surprises.

For those who have not finished Tome 1: Awakening, don’t worry. You are still able to work on that tome however you will not get the rift fragment rewards. Only Tome II: Reckoning will reward players with rift fragments. These rift fragments are used on the Rift track where players can unlock cosmetics in game. There is a free path and a premium path, the latter will reward more cosmetics and in game currency.

Dead By Daylight is playable now on PC through Steam, PS4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. Tome II: Reckoning will open on January 22, 2020
