DC’s Legends of Tomorrow always provide some good superhero fun.  And fans are in for a treat with the remaining episodes of season 5. The CW released a new trailer for LoT season 5 that puts the Legends in some legendary roles.

After the Crisis, the Legends found out that historical bad guys were re-released in history, causing some trouble. These ‘Encores’ weren’t easy to kill a second time, but the Legends found a way to get them back to Hell were they belong. In addition to finding the Encores, the team has to find the Loom of Fate.

Charlie(Maisie Richardson-Sellers) revealed that she is actually the Fate Clotho, the spinner of fate. The Fates used the Loom to dictate the destinies of mortals. Clotho destroyed the loom and scattered it across the multiverse. The Crisis changed the multiverse and put the rings of the loom on the only Earth that exists.  The other Fates were alerted to the rings and now there is a race to find the Loom.

Now, John Constantine (Matt Ryan) wants to find the Loom to change Astra’s (Olivia Swann) destiny without disturbing the timeline.  He’s not the only one.  The coin maker (Sara Strange) wants the Loom as well.  She wants to create a new world order. And then there’s Charlie’s sisters, who we haven’t met yet. Whoever gets the Loom first will have the power to change everything. Is that why the Legends on Public Access TV?

In the trailer, the team is put in some familiar locations.  Sara (Caity Lotz) and Ava (Jes Macallan) tackle the roles of Captain Kirk and Commander Spock of the U. S. S. Waverider. And everyone else, except Mick (Dominic Purcell) are Klingons.  Nate (Nick Zano), Zari (Tala Ashe), and Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) are in a “Friends” episode. But who this new Mr. Parker?

The team also goes “Greek.” Which looks like it’s a killer time.  There will be zombies, courtesy of the guardians of the afterlife. The Legends are the only ones looking for the Loom.  Astra returns to the topside to search for the Loom with the Coin Maker.  And there’s a special Supernatural cameo in tonight’s episode. The first Supernatural crossover for the Arrowverse

Of course, the team still has to deal with the Encores.  Coincidentally, some of the Encores carry rings of the loom. So there’s so much more at stake. Check out the video below. It looks like chaos to me.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns tonight, Tuesday, April 21 on The CW.
