DC Superheroes: The Ultimate Pop-Up Book

From New York Times Bestselling paper engineer Matthew Reinhart comes DC Superheroes: The Ultimate Pop-Up Book. This massive pop-up book immerses you in the world of your favorite DC superheroes, from Batman to Wonder Woman.

Batman bursts out of the center of a page with his cape spread out. The skyline of Gotham pops up behind him including a bat signal. On the left is Robin and on the right are Batgirl and a 3D Batmobile.

Each page features a huge 3D piece with multiple moving parts and stunning comic-style illustrations. Additionally, every page also has at least one mini pop-out vignette. Throughout the entire book, you will discover all sorts of facts about your favorite DC characters.

Wonder Woman kicks out of the center of two pages while throwing her golden lasso. On the bottom left is a mini pop out featuring Wonder Woman battling another Amazon.

For example, did you know that Wonder Woman is blessed with mythical powers granted by the gods of Olympus? The Amazonian princess is on a sacred mission to spread peace and freedom to every nation. She is protected by indestructible bracelets forged from the shield of Zeus, a golden lasso of truth and gilded Amazonian battle armor. The Ultimate Pop-Up Book gives you detailed spreads just like this one on your other favorites, including Batman, Superman and many more.

Every Hero Has a Villain

Unfortunately, not even pop-up books are safe from the infamous DC villains, including Darkseid, Sinestro, Lex Luther and more. This chaotic crew makes an appearance in their very own full-page spread.

The villain page features several DC villains spread across two pages. Darkseid and Lex Luthor are in the center. Sinestro on the left fires a large fireball to the center with his yellow ring. Bottom left is a Batman villain mini featuring a pop out of the Joker.

Batman features some of my favorite villains of all time, and they get a mini pop-out all to themselves. A terrifying Joker jumps out while Catwoman, Poison Ivy and more stand behind him in a police line-up.

To Read or Not to Read

DC Superheroes: The Ultimate Pop-Up Book is easily one of the coolest books I have ever seen and is a must-have for any DC collector. Matthew Reinhart is an absolute genius at paper engineering. Consequently, each page is more stunning than the last. The pop-outs are massive, and the book closes up nicely and neatly every time. The last page is truly a sight to behold, featuring dozens of characters engaged in a fight for the ages. Pictures cannot do this book justice, but I did my best.

The final page of DC Superheroes: The Ultimate Pop-Up Book is a massive pop up battle between dozens of DC heroes and villains.

Although the publisher recommends this book for ages five and up, I recommend this for older kids or collectors. Like most pop-up books, it may get torn up in smaller hands. This one is so impressive; it would be a shame to have it destroyed.

Overall, this is my favorite thing on our shelves at the moment, and I show it off to anyone who stops by. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up (or anything by Reinhart, really).
