What is DC FanDome?

It is “a mega, 24-hour, immersive virtual fan experience which brings the universe of DC to life and features the stars, filmmakers, and creators behind it’s biggest films, TV series, games and comics.” That’s according to the DC press release from June 16.  Basically it’s a virtual world where fans can access content from their favorite DC shows, movies, games and comics. The event is available in Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. And it’s FREE! The website promises an immersive fan experience only accessible for 24 hours. And will feature updates and content from:

  • Aquaman
  • The Batman
  • From The CW Batwoman, Black Lightning, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, DC’s Stargirl, The Flash, Supergirl and new series Superman & Lois
  • Black Adam
  • DC Super Hero Girls
  • HBO Max’s Doom Patrol
  • Harley Quinn
  • The Snyder Cut of Justice League

DC VIRTUAL WORLD

This is going to be very different from any other cons that we’ve seen. The virtual world has six locations, each dedicated to specific DC programming, starting with the “Hall of Heroes.” In the Hall of Heroes, fans can experience special programming, panels and content reveals from a wide variety of films, TV series and games, available in several languages. From there you can travel to five different satellite worlds, each with its own unique content, activities and some giveaways.

You can find out more about the event and sign up for updates at the FanDome website. Fans can also get updates by following the FanDome Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

The DC FanDome happens on Saturday, August 22, starting at 1:00 p.m. Eastern / 10:00 a.m. Pacific.
