It’s already been two years since Wild Obscura Films debuted their passion project, Cryptids. The highly addictive sci-fi podcast recently found a new home at Dark Matter TV, the streaming service dedicated to all things horror, sci-fi, action and true crime.

Along with the first season, Dark Matter TV has included an innovative visual element. Think sci-fi Yule Log, the first of its kind for fiction podcasts. Creepy corridors, stylish shots of wooded areas and the gorgeous night sky, it’s a completely immersive experience that allows listeners to fully escape into the world of Cryptids.

Written by Alexander V. Thompson and directed by Devin Shepherd, the series follows a conspiracy radio show host and an avid listener who go in search of an afterlife. Instead, they find the truth is beyond their wildest nightmares. In this female-driven, scripted sci-fi audio drama, you’ll meet monsters, aliens … and the ultimate grim reaper.

The second season is already in the works by the creators with more information to be revealed soon.
