Christopher Nolan is shining the bat signal for all Batman fans to see.  The Dark Knight trilogy will be showing in Imax theaters in 5 cities to celebrate the caped crusader’s 80th birthday.  And, if you’re in L.A. you get to hear from Nolan in person!

In back-to back-to back screenings, 2005’s Batman Begins, 2008’s The Dark Knight and 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises will show in their director’s preferred format… IMAX 70mm.

The kick-off screening will be in Los Angeles at Universal Cinema AMC, Universal CityWalk on March 30th.  Nolan will be in attendance for a live Q&A.  Then the screenings bounce all around North America. AMC Lincoln Square in New York is second.  Then, “AMC Metreon in San Francisco, Cinesphere Ontario Place in Toronto and Imax Theatre at the Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis later in the month.”  Deadline reported Tuesday.

Nolan’s Q&A, recorded from his Los Angeles appearance, will accompany each screening after L.A..  So, even if you’re not on the west coast, and you don’t get to see him live… you get a little taste of the director’s point of view.

Tickets for the screenings go on sale tomorrow; Wednesday, March 13th at 9am PT.
