Fresh off of Awards Season for Harriet and currently starring in HBO’s The Outsider, double Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo has another project to add to her hefty schedule.
Carrier, a science fiction thriller, audio drama podcast created by Dan Blank and audio studio QCode, will be adapted as a feature film for Steven Speilberg’s Amblin Partners. Erivo will star and produce the project according to Variety.

In Carrier, Erivo plays Raylene, a truck driver who accepts an off-the-books long-haul trucking assignment to cover for her ill father. She soon realizes that her mysterious cargo is a threat to the world and various forces begin targeting her to control or destroy it. “It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to bring this podcast to the screen and marks the beginning of a new adventure in creativity for me as a producer,” said Erivo of the new project.
