The CW announced early renewals for 10 returning series, including freshman series Black Lightning and Dynasty. The news comes after the network announced it would extend it’s programming into Sunday nights beginning in October 2018.
It should be no surprise that Supernatural will return for season 14. The series rating hit it big with their Scooby-Doo crossover last week. Stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki show no signs of stopping anytime soon.
The DC superhero shows have steady ratings as individual shows and during the big crossover events. Arrow returns for season 7, The Flash for season 5, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow both return for their 4th season. Legends of Tomorrow recently announced the addition of fan favorite Constantine (Matt Ryan) as a series regular for season 4.

The mystery continues for Riverdale heading into it’s 3rd season. And it appears two fan favorites are saying goodbye. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend‘s Rachel Bloom tweeted today season 4 would be the final season for the series. And Gina Rodriguez tweeted recently that season 5 would probably be the last for Jane the Virgin as well.

The network will decide their fate some time in May.
