Crunchyroll is one of the world’s most popular anime streaming sites. It’s no surprise that they roll out international dubs of the shows they license with some regularity. Earlier this week, the spring slate of dubs was announced. The full list is fairly lengthy, but we’ll be sharing a few highlights here which include So I’m A Spider So What?, I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years, Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun and To Your Eternity

The Crunchyroll List

  • To Your Eternity: To Your Eternity follows the thought-provoking journey of a mysterious, shape-shifting “orb” that takes many forms throughout its existence, including that of a boy. Fushi, as the boy is named, grows and learns from his experiences over the course of the series. To Your Eternity shares an author with A Silent Voice and promises to be quietly thought-provoking.
  • Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun: A wacky, slapstick comedy about the adopted son of a demon lord. He attends a school for demons in spite of being an ordinary human. Obvious shenanigans ensue with Iruma being mistaken for a powerful demon despite demonstrably not being so. I’m not entirely caught up on Iruma-kun myself. But I’ve seen enough of the first season to recommend this one.
  • So I’m A Spider, So What?: This series is notable for consisting, in large part, of voice actress extraordinaire Aoi Yūki monologuing to herself. This makes the prospect of a dub interesting. Whoever’s cast in the role of the titular spider has some pretty big arachnid shoes to fill. I’m excited to see where this one goes!
  • I’ve Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years: I’ve Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years follows the female-led isekai tradition of things like My Next Life as a Villainess. The emphasis here is on a feminine sort of wish fulfillment. I must again confess to not being caught up on the anime, but I’ve read some of the manga and it’s a delight.

These aren’t the only Crunchyroll shows being dubbed, of course. You can find a full list of the lineup here along with their respective premiere dates. But these are some that might be of particular interest to GGA-reading anime fans.
