We’ve met The Monitor Mar Novu, played by LaMonica Garrett during the Elseworlds crossover. Well, the Anti-Monitor, also played by LaMonica Garrett looks just like Mar Novu…if he were a white walker. And that’s pretty cool because White Walkers are creepy!
The Monitor and Anti-Monitor have been around since the beginning of the multiverse. They are the polar opposites of each other yet, the same. Kind of like twins, but not really. After sleeping for millions of years, a scientist Pariah (played by Tom Cavanagh in the crossover) accidentally woke them up. The Anti-Monitor began consuming positive matter universes to gain power. The Monitor began recruiting heroes across the multiverse to stop the Anti-Monitor from destroying the multiverse.
Again, the Crisis has already begun. I won’t spoil it for those of you who haven’t seen the Arrow season premiere episode or The Flash 602 episodes. But the Crisis is looking pretty scary right about now.
Check out the photo of the Anti-Monitor below. You can watch the Arrowverse shows on the CW. Check you local listings for days and showtimes.
The Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover begins on Sunday, Dec. 8 on Supergirl, followed by Batwoman on Monday, Dec. 9, and The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will resume Tuesday, Jan. 14, with Arrow at 8 p.m. and conclude with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. And a lot of surprise guests included.
