Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths

The next CW Crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths is shaping up to be the biggest Arrowverse event yet.  At the TCA summer press tour, the CW announced that Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy will portray the live-action Bruce Wayne in the next crossover event.  This comes after the announcement that Black Lightning is finally entering the Arrowverse!

The crossover consists of the stars of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.  In last year’s crossover, Kate Kane/Batwoman (Ruby Rose) made her debut. It was during her episode that we found out that Bruce Wayne had left Gotham and Batman went along with him. The powers that be have said that they had no plans to bring Bruce Wayne back. Never say Never. The new Batwoman series will begin in October, so I wonder with this announcement, will we see Mr. Wayne before the crossover?  And will we see Batman in action?

Conroy has voiced the Caped Crusader for over twenty years. His first Batman animated film was Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and most recently on Teen Titans Go!  So he definitely has the street cred.

And DC fans have been screaming for the CW to include Black Lightning in the Arrowverse.  Black Lightning star Cress Williams posted the announcement on his Instagram page, with the cover page from wegotthiscovered.com.  The official word came Sunday at the TCA tour.  They did not announce which characters would be in the crossover.  The CW also moved up the Black Lightning season premiere to Monday, October 7.

It will be awesome to see Black Lightning fighting side by side with the other major heroes of the Arrowverse.  I just hope they bringing the ladies because those girls have some major power!

Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover will begin on Sunday, December 8 on Supergirl; Monday, December 9 on Batwoman; and Tuesday, December 10 on The Flash.  The Crisis will continue in 2020 on Tuesday, January 14 on Arrow; and conclude on Tuesday, January 14 on a special episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
