One of my most anticipated games for 2021 is Modus Games, SYCK and Dreams Uncorporated‘s Cris Tales. The only downside was that it still didn’t have an actual release date. After being pushed back in October to sometime in 2021, we finally have a better idea of when we will be able to jump into the world of Crisbell. Not only that, we have a brand new trailer to enjoy while we wait!

Cris Tales is a love-letter to JRPGs (Japanese role-playing games) that follows the newly awoken time-mage Crisbell. Alongside her friends, she fights to protect her world from the fiery demise at the hands of the evil Time Empress. The new trailer gives us a better look at the story itself and even hints at Crisbell’s mysterious past. We also get a look at the different companions and how they will play in building our traveling team.

This trailer reminds me of how beautiful the art style for Cris Tales is. The developers have shared that we will be spending quite a bit of time exploring this marvelous world. Through exploration, we will be able to find and go on quests that aren’t necessarily central to the main storyline. However, every choice made within the game will have consequences that can often change the future in real-time. We can’t wait to experience everything this has to offer!

Cris Tales has a launch window for July 2021! You can currently preorder the normal and collector’s editions now! It will be available on PC through Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia. Check out the brand new trailer below!
