Netflix’s fan expo Tudum closed out hour two with new information for the highly anticipated upcoming series Cowboy Bebop. This is their live-action adaptation of the beloved anime starring John Cho as the iconic Spike Spiegel. We got first look images a few weeks ago that had us on the edge of our seats and just the other day, we got a new character poster. So, of course, we have been on the edge of our seats for today’s event!

And we were not disappointed! We got our very first trailer for the Cowboy Bebop in the form of the opening credits, including the iconic song Tank! by The Seatbelts. And then, after that, we got the adorable loading screen featuring Ein! Our favorite space, corgi! But back to that amazing trailer. I’m pretty speechless that they were able to reenact it from beginning to end and give us a look at some exciting characters we will get to see along the way. Plus, did you see how Cho was able to slide right into the role of Spike? I have such high hopes that he will truly become Spike Spiegel when we finally hear him speak.

We got the chance to see Cho alongside Daniella Pineda (Faye), Mustafa Shakir (Jet Black), Alex Hassell (Vicious) and Elena Satine (Julia). And that iconic scene where Spike has his gun in Vicious shoulder and Vicious has his sword in Spike’s. Nothing screams more iconic than that scene. Everything is looking to be falling into space. However, I still can’t get past the idea that Ed might not be in this. We haven’t heard anything for or against Ed joining the group of bounty hunters, but I am worried since this won’t be a true re-telling of the original story, she might come in much later. And we all know that we need our Ed!

Cowboy Bebop drops on Netflix on November 19, 2021! We dropped the opening credits down below for you to enjoy! Be sure to add it to your must watch list here! Let us know what you think of this upcoming adaptation in the comments below and on social media! We can’t wait to dive in, so get ready, space cowboys!
