The Coen Brothers are back, and they’re returning to the west. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is a six-part anthology, originally envisioned as a series, that the Coen’s have compiled into a highly anticipated Netflix film.

The star-studded cast includes James Franco, Liam Neeson, Tim Blake Nelson, Tom Waits, Stephen Root and Zoe Kazan. And, though the trailer doesn’t tell us much about the plot lines of any of the stories, we get a good dose of the funny and flawed Coen Brothers characters we’ve come to love.
Nelson plays Scruggs, a cartoonish white hat dim-witted sharp shooter who hilariously leaves a perfect silouhette of dust in the air behind him as he enters the saloon. Franco plays an oblivious, repeat offender bank robber. Liam Neeson is clearly drunk in front of a fire. This is going to be good.
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs will premiere on Netflix and in theaters on November 16th.
