It’s a battle for the soul of the valley. If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Cobra Kai, it’s that it was never just about a tournament. On Thursday, Netflix unveiled a new promo for the fourth season of its karate-infused mega hit. While the said promo mostly consists of footage featuring our stars in action, there are new clips wedged in there.

Fasten your gi and tie your belts because the All Valley Karate Championship is coming back! Our core cast shows off their moves save Martin Kove‘s venomous John Kreese, who smirks. The cuts showcasing the new footage are fast, but you can see Johnny (William Zabka) and Daniel (Ralph Macchio) fist-bumping, as well as Tory (Peyton List) pinning Robby (Tanner Buchanan). It also looks like Samantha (Mary Mouser) is jumping from building to building a la Spider-Man.

However, my favorite bit features Daniel and Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) practicing together. If you’ll recall, the end of Season Three found our once mortal enemies, Daniel and Johnny, joining forces (and dojos) to take down John Kreese.

I can’t wait to witness Eagle Fang Karate kick ass at the tournament. I’m curious to see more of Elisabeth Shue as Ali Mills and how her presence will affect Johnny moving forward. Will he stay true to Carmen (Vanessa Rubio)? I hope so!

I’d be remiss if I left out the return of Thomas Ian Griffith as Terry Silver, Daniel’s former sensei-turned-opponent from 1989’s The Karate Kid Part III. There’s a brief glimpse of a ponytail. A ponytail! Send that to the internet!

You can watch the promo below. Cobra Kai stars William Zabka, Ralph Macchio, Xolo Maridueña, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Courtney Henggeler, Peyton List, Vanessa Rubio, Gianni DeCenzoJacob Bertrand and Martin Kove. Expect more epic fight sequences and dojo drama when the series returns this December, only on Netflix.
