Netflix’s TUDUM fan event unveiled a new trailer for mega-hit Cobra Kai‘s upcoming fourth season and a date announcement!

In the roughly one-minute trailer, we see Johnny Lawrence’s (William Zabka) Eagle Fang Karate and Daniel LaRusso’s (Ralph Macchio) Miyagi-Do come together to take on Cobra Kai for the All-Valley Karate Tournament. Naturally, the former rivals hilariously impart conflicting ideologies to their combined team.
But that’s not all! We see John Kreese’s (Martin Kove) buddy Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) return to help Cobra Kai win the competition.
And it wouldn’t be a Cobra Kai trailer without a witty, wry remark from Amanda LaRusso (Courtney Henggeler), who says what we’re all thinking — her family’s safety is dependent on winning a karate tournament? Regardless, I’m here for the gorgeous fight sequences, amped-up drama, 80s pop culture references and Johnny Lawrence’s unofficial code of conduct.
Judging by the video below, it appears Cobra Kai‘s tone for Season Four is consistent with its predecessors: fun escapism with plenty of karate.
Cobra Kai stars Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Peyton List, Jacob Bertrand, Vanessa Rubio, Gianni Decenzo and Martin Kove. Brace yourselves for the battle of the Valley’s soul when the series returns for Season Four on Friday, December 31, only on Netflix.
