When Timeless was cancelled (again) and the event movie was announced for December, that was a happy/sad moment, and December seemed forever away. Well, like the Time Team, we have traveled into the future and the Timeless movie is on this Thursday! (Sure, we didn’t hop in the Lifeboat and skip to this part, but waiting through the intervening months did get the job done.)

Quick refresher:
- When we last saw our heroes, they were crestfallen. Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) died on a mission to 1800s San Francisco to save Jiya (Claudia Doumit), who had been stranded there for years by the time they found her.
- Emma (Annie Wersching) took out the Rittenhouse competition by dispatching both Carol (Susanna Thompson) and Nicholas Keynes (Michael Rady), and the subtext was that Lucy (Abigail Spencer) is so entitled to rule Rittenhouse that she can take it any time she wants.
- There’s some (unwelcome to me) tension building between Lucy and Flynn (Goran Visnjic) since Wyatt’s (Matt Lanter) wife, Jessica (Tonya Glanz), came back from the dead– even though she’s since been unmasked as a Rittenhouse agent.
- Connor (Paterson Joseph) and Agent Christopher (Sakina Jaffrey) are still alive, having respectively survived a trip to the past and the threat of being killed before finding love and having children.
- A Mad Max-looking Lifeboat crashed the pity party in the bunker in the last minute of the finale and revealed a rougher, tougher version of Wyatt and Lucy who asked if the gang didn’t want to get in and #SaveRufus.

What we know about Thursday’s movie:
It’s called “The Miracle of Christmas,” and it’s two one-hour episodes airing back-to-back. Here’s the trailer:
The cast has been posting a TON of wild-west pics on Instagram.
No Rufus:
No Rufus:
No Rufus:
RUFUS!
Even though the show is still cancelled, it seems like there’s an atmosphere of fun behind the scenes.
Malcolm Barrett has an alter-ego, Verbal the Rapper, and he’s released a music video homage to his character and the show called “Hero in a Hoodie.” Best line: “Can’t tell if I’m dead or alive, and now you’re knowing just how the show feels.” Watch it here:
The rest of the cast clapped back (not really) by making a video of their own:
Here are some of the questions we’d like to see answered in the movie:
- Is there any way to undo all the havoc this show has wreaked on the space-time continuum?
- Will Lucy’s sister ever exist again?
- Can we just have Lucy and Wyatt get together with no lame triangle BS?
- What’s the truth behind Lucy’s being the heir apparent for Rittenhouse?
- Will the movie be successful enough to spawn more?
What are you looking for in the movie, y’all?
