Horror movies often have an underlying social commentary, and Hulu is bringing a new addition to this category with Clock. The streamer dropped the full-length trailer, and it gives all of the cringes and chills. Here is everything we know about the movie and the trailer.
The story is about a young, childfree woman. Those around her cannot accept that she genuinely does not want to be a mother. Everyone constantly informs her that her biological clock is ticking. Eventually, she tells her doctor she doesn’t have a clock, to which the physician replies that she does; it is just “broken.” This discussion leads her to a clinical trial that promotes its ability to “fix” women like her.

Based on the trailer, the early part of the film will focus on the main character’s struggle with those around her trying to convince her she is missing out or odd for not wanting to have children. As the clips progress, we see her enter the trial, with the leader telling her the only goal for society is to procreate. After that point, things go further and further down the terrifying route. Viewers only get a small glimpse into the character’s experience.
Clock is written and directed by Alexis Jacknow. The film stars Dianna Agron, Jay Ali, Saul Rubinek and Melora Hardin. It premieres on Hulu on Friday, April 28, 2o23.
