Things are starting to come together on Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger. Our heroes have discovered their powers, but they do not understand everything they can do and why. Tandy (Olivia Holt) stabbed a young man and is leaving town. Tyrone (Aubrey Joseph) is seeking revenge on the police officer that killed his brother. Both are headed down a dark path. Can fate stop them in time to save them?

The Wreck
Tandy wakes up from the car crash as Tyrone tries to talk to her. She has a concussion, but she is determined to leave town. She asks Tyrone why he was trying to kill her. He tells her he was shooting at a cop and then transported to her. Tandy makes her way back to the car and Tyrone tries to stop her. She tells him that she never wants to see him again and drives off. Tyrone hears sirens heading toward him, so he runs into the woods to hide.
Detective Brigid O’Reilly (Emma Lahana) is the lead investigator in the stabbing of rich boy Rick (Mike Donavan). She goes to the hospital to interview Rick about the attack. The detective asks about the scratches on his face, saying those are defense wounds. She also asks why his pants were unbuckled when they found him. Rick decides that it’s not a good idea to answer any questions at this time.
Tandy heads to Melissa’s (Andrea Roth) home. She cleans herself up and hides the cut on her head. Melissa wakes up and sees that Tandy is hurt. They start to argue when someone knocks on the door. Detective O’Reilly is at the door looking for Tandy. Melissa tells her that she hasn’t seen Tandy in weeks. O’Reilly tells her that Tandy may be the victim of an assault. She gives Melissa her card and asks her to give it to Tandy if she sees her. Melissa goes back to the bathroom, but Tandy is really gone.
Tandy buys a bus ticket out of town. She finds her seat, puts her headphones in, and falls asleep. She wakes up and the bus is empty. The bus is parked at a basketball court. Tandy gets off the bus and it leaves. She walks onto to the basketball court and a young Tyrone (Maceo Smedley) is standing there looking at her.
Gaining Control
Tyrone looks for Father Delgado (Jaime Zevallos) at school, but he can’t find him. He decides to light a candle and pray for guidance from Billy, telling his brother that he’s cursed. Evita (Noëlle Renée Bercy) burst in, saying she was looking for him. She heard the part about Tyrone being cursed and says she knows someone who might be able to help.
Tyrone meets Evita after school. She takes him on a voodoo tour with other tourists in town. Evita is leading the tour and talks about how people believe voodoo can lift a curse. The tour ends at a gift shop. It is also the home of Evita’s Auntie Chantelle (Angela M. Davis). Chantelle is a voodoo practitioner. Tyrone sits down and lest Chantelle read tarot cards. He gets a Joker card, representing hopes and fears. She tells him to take a cleansing bath and gives him the ingredients that he needs to do that.
Evita lets him take a bath upstairs. She tells him to relax and clear his mind. He closes his eyes for just a minute. When he opens them, he’s at his house and it’s empty. He walks outside and on the the Roxxon Corp rooftop. Young Tandy (Rachel Ryals) is there with him, staring at him.
Tandy’s Vision
Billy Johnson (Marqus Clae) shows up at the court and starts to play ball with Tyrone. Billy’s friends show up and tell Billy that they are going to get the car stereo back. They ask him to go with them, but he decides to stay with Tyrone. Billy hands Tyrone a check.
The dream switches to a clearing the woods with a table of weapons in the middle. A grown up Tyrone walks up to the table and picks up a gun. Tyrone’s parents watch him shoot Detective Connors (J. D. Evermore). His parents fall dead on the ground. A group of police show up and chase Tyrone down. The dream starts over, but Tyrone picks a noose instead. The police show up and chase him again. Tandy is trying to tell Tyrone that everything he’s doing won’t work. Tyrone runs into the noose and is hung up in a tree.
The dream starts over again. Before he can pick up a weapon, Tandy yells to him that the end will always be the same. He has to try something else. Her hand lights up and she creates a dagger. She puts it on the table for Tyrone to pick up. Tyrone chooses the dagger that turns into cuffs. He walks towards Connors, but Connors runs away. Tandy walks into a cash advance office and sees young Tyrone sitting on the floor crying. He is surrounded by checks made out to him from Billy.
Tyrone’s Vision
Young Tandy begins dancing in her ballet clothes. There is a puddle of water on the ground and a spark of electricity goes off. Tyrone walks into the woods and sees grown Tandy. She is looking into a glass box, where her dad is sitting with a group of men. The men try to drown Nathan Bowen (Andy Dylan) with a pitcher of water and Tandy runs away.
The dream starts over, this time Melissa is in the box, yelling at the group of men. Tandy runs away agian and falls into a puddle of mud and starts sinking. The dream stars over again. Tandy sees herself in the box trying to help her dad. She starts to turn and run, but Tyrone yells at her to stop running. She has to try something else. Tandy produces a dagger and puts it in the box. Tandy and the box disappear.
Tyrone sees a shed and goes through the door. He walks into a church. He sees young Tandy dressed in a church robe. A line of men approach her, singing a church hymn. One by one, she puts a pill in their mouths and they fall to the ground. Liam (Carl Lundstedt) is the last one. He takes his pill, says Amen, and falls to the ground.
Stained Glass
Tandy sees a sees a stained glass window in the cash advance place. Tyrone sees the same stained glass in the church. They walk toward the glass to touch it. When they touch, they both wake up.
Detective O’Reilly gets into her car and Detective Connors approaches her. He has Rick’s ID, saying it was found on a dead drug addict. Rick’s case is a mugging gone wrong. Rick’s lawyers corroborated the story. O’Reilly says the evidence doesn’t fit. Connors says that the case is closed. He says she owes him a drink and leaves. O’Reilly’s phone rings and Tandy is on the other end. She tells O’Reilly that she’s ready to stay and face this. The two meet up. O’Reilly tells her the case is closed. Tandy is in disbelief and goes back to the church.
Someone is using a 3D printer to make a figure. When the figure is complete, it’s Tyrone. And Auntie Chantelle puts the figure on her mantel.
Evita asks Tyrone if he got the answers he was looking for. He says no, but he thinks he knows how to get those answers. Evita tells him that she made a wish at the tomb too. Tyrone takes that as a sign to kiss Evita. After he leaves her, Tyrone heads to a church. Tandy enters the church and Tyrone is waiting for her. He tells that they need to talk.
