If supernatural thrillers are your thing, we’ve got good news for you.  Cinemax announced the return of Robert Kirkman‘s demonic series  Outcast premiering Friday July 20, 2018.  This will be the second season for the suspense-horror comic turn cable series.  According to Deadline, the US premiere comes a year after the Fox International channel aired the second season in other countries.

Outcast is about Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit) a young man who has been affected by demonic possessions his entire life.  He returns to his childhood home after a traumatic episode involving his wife and child. With help from Reverend Anderson (Philip Glenister), Kyle tries his best to protect his loved ones from the evil forces that follow him.

Cinemax did not release a synopsis, however Kary Antholis, president of HBO Miniseries and Cinemax Programming says the new season is strong.

“I hope it’s got a bit more fun and entertainment in it, and is a step forward.  In success, we left open the possibility that we could have a conversation about figuring out a way to bring it back.” – Antholis
