Great Scott! We’re less than a month away from the world premiere of the Back to the Future: the Musical! In honor of this upcoming event, the London Theatre Direct has released a brand new trailer.

In this trailer we fast forward to February 20th, where we see Olly Dobson as lovable teenage time traveler Marty McFly and Roger Bart as Doc Brown, arriving late for places in their own show. Working at the stage door that evening is none other than the original Doc Brown himself, Christopher Lloyd!

The upcoming musical will follow the same plot as the 1985 movie, in which Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) accidentally travels 30 years into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by the eccentric Dr. Emmett Brown (Lloyd). While trying to find a way back to 1985, Marty must also play Cupid to ensure his now high school-aged parents unite in order to save his own existence.

The musical is directed by John Rando and will feature music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, as well as some familiar tunes such as “The Power of Love” and “Johnny B. Goode.”
