Yesterday, we got a brand new spot for Solo: A Star Wars Story and it featured our favorite Wookiee prominently. While only at 45 seconds, the ad gave us a few more scenes for us to sink our teeth into while also adoring Chewbacca’s near leading role. He’s just so great! Most of the scenes are a rehash from the recent trailer so we won’t focus on those, instead we’ll stick to the new scenes plus new character spots!

New character spots you say? Why yes! We have at least four characters that’re new, the names we currently don’t know. One is a red robot who seems to be a dealer at the gambling den Han, Chewie and Qi’Ra meet Lando and L337. We also have two droids seemingly communicating with one another that honestly give me C3PO and R2D2 vibes. Another is a character played by Warwick Davis. How do I know? We can see his face! Most of the actor’s roles have been under masks or makeup but not this time! He’s shooting what seems to be a rocket in a blink-and-you-miss-it shot. No sign of Therm Scissorpunch in this ad though!

Most of the fun from the trailer comes from Han and Chewie. They’re meeting for the first time, in what conditions, we don’t know. But Han, wrapped in a blanket, asks what his name is. I would say they met under high-pressure circumstances, but that’s purely a guess. Han later teases him when he says that Chewie thinks everything is a bad idea. To be fair, Han does come up with some pretty terrible ideas, he has a right. It all culminates in a scene where Han shows Chewie his cards at a gambling table, making the Wookiee let out an exasperated sigh. It’s just so much fun to see their dynamic. And it’s always funny to see Chewie sassing Han, let’s be honest.
