In one of her first interviews for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Daisy Ridley sat down with Movie Maniacs to talk about her experience shooting this epic movie.
This is only Daisy’s second feature film, having only appeared in a few guest spots on television and short films before landing the lead in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
She grew up in London and attended the Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in Hertfordshire, where she specialized in musical theater.
Daisy then appeared in an episode of The BBC’s Casualty, E4’s Youngers, the ITV series Mr. Selfridge, Lifesaver an interactive short film for the Resuscitation Council and in a short film for the SciFi London 48 Hour Short Film Festival.
She says she was never super ambitious about being an actor and now, bam! She’s starring as the lead in one of the biggest movies in history.
