Catherine Tate is back in the news and it has nothing to do with Doctor Who. Catherine is out and about promoting her live tour of The Catherine Tate Show, which is a sketch show that was on the BBC and can now be found on Netflix. Go and watch it now, if you haven’t seen her brilliance.
For our first bit of news, Catherine stopped by Graham Norton alongside Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders and Jude Law, and got a chance to tell the origin story of one of her most famous characters, Nan. An older, inappropriate granny. Coaxed by Tom Cruise, she gave us a little taste:
Secondly, BBC anchor, Charlie Sayft, forgot to do some research and confused Matt Lucas’ character from Little Britain, Vicky Pollard with Catherine Tate’s character, Lauren Cooper, from her sketch show, in front of Catherine Tate….live on the air. Ya, done f’d up my man:
