Hulu is going all out for its new show Castle RockDeadline reports that not only will fans get a sneak peek at the J. J. Abrams production, they will get to see the premiere episode in its entirety. The panel will also have appearance by stars Sissy Spacek, Bill Skarsgard, and Melanie Lynskey

Castle Rock is based on the works of horror genius Stephen King. The town of Castle Rock is a fictional place in Maine that shows up in a lot of King’s novels and short stories. It’s only natural that creators Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason used the town as the focal point of the show, that will feature a mash-up of King’s works.

“The germ of the idea was to think about the kinds of people who have the grit to stick it out in a place that’s been terrorized over and over again,” Thomason, Entertainment Weekly

The show is an anthology of King’s works. The first season stars Andre Holland as Henry Deaver, a defense attorney who returns to his hometown of Castle Rock to help a mysterious inmate known as The Kid (Skarsgard) at the Shawshank Penitentiary. Of course the story line is not that simple. But fans don’t have to wait long to find out what kind creepy things go on.

San Diego Comic Con begins July 19. The networks are pulling out all the stops to promote new and current shows. Hulu’s promotion of Castle Rock will also include an “immersive experience” that allows fans to step in to the world of King’s works. As for King himself, he is not schedule to appear at SDCC. Abrams is currently working on the latest Star Wars film, but could possibly send a video message for the fans.

Hulu will premiere the first three episodes of Castle Rock on July 25.  Geek Girl Authority will have recaps and the latest news about this exciting new show!
