The release of Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War fast approaches, and there’s new news to celebrate! Carrie Coon (The Leftovers, Fargo) has been announced as a part of the epic embarrassment of riches cast. She voices the villain and member of Thanos’ Black Order, Proxima Midnight.
Variety reported that Infinity War directors, Joe and Anthony Russo confirmed Coon’s role in the film to British magazine, Radio Times. Coon confirmed it, herself, with tweets on Monday morning.
It’s true! My voice and a dazzle of gifted animators have teamed up to play Proxima Midnight:

Joe Russo kind of blurted out the news to Radio Times when asked if there were any further details about the Black Order that they could announce. He came straight out and said, “Carrie Coon is Proxima Midnight.” Awesome. It had previously been announced that Tom Vaughn-Lawlor voices Ebony Maw and Terry Notary is voicing Cull Obsidian in the upcoming ultra-sequel. The only member of the Black Order yet to be revealed is Corvus Glaive. No word on the casting for that role. Maybe that means the best is yet to come?
Avengers: Infinity War will invade theaters on April 25th.
