Were you exploring the internet in the ’90s? When homes around the world were gaining easier access to the world wide web, websites were gaining in popularity. While they weren’t overly impressive, especially by today’s standards, they were creative with the limited technology. Well, Captain Marvel has decided to embrace it’s 90s setting fully and gave us a film website that ignites all sorts of nostalgia.

With a busy header and all sort of adorable sprites, the website doesn’t shy away from the style of the time at all. However, if you can get past the awe of just how amusing the site is, you’ll find some treats. For example, the guestbook is full of late ’90s and early ’00s references that seem like relics now. Though if you look, the comments are by people in the film and comics. There’s also a fun game of “Human or Skrull” that you can play and let’s just say I would make a terrible Kree soldier. Additionally, if you look around enough, you’ll find Stan the Man.

This is such a fun site that really takes the marketing to the next level. When I clicked on it, I almost laughed out loud. It immediately reminded me of the Space Jam website that’s still in it’s original form. Not to mention all of the Angelfire and Geocities sites by fans. Honestly, I cannot get over the Captain Marvel sprite. You’ll have to check out the website yourself and let us know just how hard it hit you in the nostaglia.
