In just 10 days, the world will be blown away by Captain Marvel. Well, we’re really hoping so. In a new television spot, we get to see a bit more action and some banter between Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). Plus Marvel unveiled a new poster for the film.
Space invasions, shape shifting aliens and big car chases are a typical 9 to 5 for Agent Fury. Or at least that’s what he wants Carol to think. It seems to be a reality for our heroine though, because we have more footage of her fighting Skrull on the train. She even blasts Ben Mendelsohn‘s Talos off of Fury. The most interesting part comes when Carol is dog fighting with an alien ship. Why did it attack her ship? Did they know she was the one inside of it and is that in part how she got her powers after she was shot down? Curious. But hey, she looks killer in her grunge attire according to Fury.

I dig the use of “Celebrity Skin” from Hole in the teaser. Not just because of the grunge reference but it just reminds you that this film is definitely set in the 1990s. I also really dig the banter that Fury and Danvers have together. It’s more light-hearted and dare I say fun. It may be due to his inexperience, but it’s just really nice to see Fury letting out jokes without staring people down like he could burn a hole in their head. That’s just my thought at least. Also with each passing spot we can see just how powerful Carol Danvers really is and I’m so excited to see her kick some major ass.
