IT’S OFFICIAL!
Bryan Cranston has gone on the record saying he wants to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe — not as a hero, not as a bureaucrat, but as a villain. As he told Metro.uk, “You know what I’d like to do? I’d like to do some big superhero villain in some Marvel classic.”
This could be exactly what Marvel needs to help them out with their villains, who apart from Loki, played by Tom Hiddleson, are notoriously flat and somewhat two-dimensional.
Cranston even knows exactly who he’d want to play — no one. He said he’d like Marvel to “Create one from scratch… I don’t know what I would do but it would be nasty.”
Assuming he’d be up for playing a role that’s already been established, here’s our top three choices for Cranston.
1. MODOK
2. NORMAN OSBORN/THE GREEN GOBLIN
3. KANG THE CONQUERER
And, just for good measure, to meet his desire to play a character created just for him, he could be the Scientist Supreme of AIM. Though they typically have names, they are more or less anonymous, their character being more of a ruthless, sinister role to play in the story than any actual persona.
