The new Batwoman is premiering on The CW soon and we finally get a look at the first episode. Entertainment Weekly dropped the exclusive photos that features a look at the new … yet, fake Bruce Wayne, played by Warren Christie.
To recap a bit, Alice (Rachel Skarsten) gave Tommy Ellis/Hush (Gabriel Mann) a new face in the season one finale. But not just any face. She gave him Bruce Wayne’s face. The plan was for Tommy to infiltrate Wayne Tower and steal a Kryptonite shard. It’s the only thing that can penetrate the Batsuit and kill Batwoman, aka Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) … Alice’s sister. Now that Tommy’s new face is healed, it appears their plan is in motion, but Kate is nowhere to be found.

Kate’s absence changes everything. Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott) declared war on Batwoman, but is now seen using the Bat-signal in these photos. Sophie (Meagan Tandy) appears to get some bad news in her photo. So one has to wonder if Jacob knows who Batwoman was. And is Kate dead? Or did she just leave? Never fear, Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) is here and stumbles upon the Batsuit. She decides to take up the mantle and reveals herself to Luke (Camrus Johnson) and Mary (Nicole Kang).

What’s really interesting about these photos is Tommy Ellis as Bruce Wayne IN THE BAT CAVE! WITH THE BATMOBILE! Tommy must be a great actor. And then there’s Alice. In Alice’s photo someone is pointing a gun at her. She should be used to that by now, but she looks pretty distraught. Makes me think that may be Jacob on the other end of that gun.
