Nine-Niners, the time is almost nigh. Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s eighth and final season will soon be here, whether we want it to end or not. On Thursday, the official Twitter account shared a trailer for “the most ambitious final season in Nine-Nine history.”

Now, the Brooklyn Nine-Nine trailer opens with dialogue from Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio). We see a montage of sweet clips featuring the former and his bestie, Jake (Andy Samberg). Boyle talks about how he assumed they’d be fighting baddies together well into their 90s. But that ride is ending now.

What follows is an epic “movie trailer” voiceover with our squad in their element. Jake and Amy (Melissa Fumero) a.k.a. “Peraltiago” returning to work after maternity leave. Holt (Andre Braugher) learning from Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) that he inadvertently sent a d*ck pic. Amy and Holt staring in disbelief at a horde of Hitchcocks and Scullys sitting in the bullpen. Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) is pretty stoked about it, though.

Additionally, we learn that Jake thinks of the Nine-Nine as one big, happy, dysfunctional family. Holt’s his dad, Rosa is his “mean older sister” and Amy is his mom. Erm, wife. As Holt says, it’s “no big whoop.” Emphasis on the “h.”

In short, this final season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is shaping up to be a lively, and fitting, farewell. I’m not ready to let these dorks go, but here we are.

You can watch the trailer below. Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Dirk Blocker, Joel McKinnon Miller and Andre Braugher. Get ready for action when the final season premieres on Thursday, August 12, only on NBC. Cool cool cool cool. No doubt. No doubt.
