Brooklyn Nine-Nine season seven hasn’t even begun! Yet, NBC is anticipating a successful season. NBC announced today the renewal of B99 for season eight.
The renewal is no surprise. NBC picked up the show in 2018 from FOX and has been pretty successful ever since. According to Deadline, the show was last season’s #1 most-social prime time comedy series.
The B99 cast learned the news during a table read on Thursday morning. NBC Co-President Scripted Programming Tracey Pakosta delivered the news. Needless to say, the cast was happy with the news, each celebrating in their own way.
To be honest, I don’t know what life was like before Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The gang showed up at this year’s San Diego Comic Con with a few tidbits to share going into season seven. What we do know is that Jimmy Jab Games will return! You definitely don’t want to miss that. Creator Dan Goor also revealed the season seven finale will end on a cliffhanger that will change the squad’s dynamic. What!
B99 stars Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio, Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon Miller. Creators Goor and Mike Schur executive produce with David Miner and Luke Del Tredici. Chelsea Peretti left the show in season 6, but she returned for a couple of episodes. I hope we get to see more of her this season.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine season seven premieres Thursday, February 6, 2020 on NBC with a special hour-long episode. The show’s time slot will change the following week, so check your local listing for show times.
