Hello, fellow members of the ton. We have more Bridgerton news! Netflix and Shondaland have sent us two extraordinary gifts! First, we have an extended look at the interview from Tudum and first look images from season two! The second season of this incredible romance regency London series pulls from the pages of Julia Quinn‘s second novel in the series, The Viscount Who Loved Me. And, of course, this means it will focus on Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and his love interest Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).

The Tudum panel featured both Bailey and Ashley alongside Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Featherington) and Charithra Chandran (Edwina Sharma). In the extension, Coughlan shared how Lady Whistledown would describe season two of Bridgerton. And I quote, “Dearest gentle reader, the biggest rake in London is about to meet his match, in more ways than one.” Could there be a better description of the second novel? I think not!

The extended interview also gives us a peek at how well Bailey and Ashley play off of each other and the witty banter only makes me more excited to see their journey in season two. For those who haven’t read the novels, this is a very different romance than what we saw in season one. And I think the short clip we were able to see proves that to us.

And can we talk about those images! We got three new ones to help tie us over for a bit. The first comes from the clip we saw on Saturday where Anthony and Kate are “discussing” her overhearing his long list of attributes for his future bride. The second shows off Lady Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell), a very well-dressed Eloise (Claudia Jessie), Anthony and our favorite second son Benedict (Luke Thompson). And finally, the third gives us our first look at the Sharma’s including Kate, Edwina, their mother Mary (Shelley Conn) and the amazing Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh).

Season two of Bridgerton is set to release sometime in 2022. We’ve included the extended panel and images below for you to enjoy! If you haven’t gotten the chance to experience this phenomenon, now is the time to do it! Season one can be binged here on Netflix. You can also check out our recaps for season one here.
