“I am not a bounty hunter. I’m the crime lord now.” We’re only five days away from the premiere of The Book of Boba Fett! To celebrate, Disney Plus unveiled a special look for the highly anticipated series starring Temuera Morrison as the titular “crime lord.”
We see repurposed footage and old scenes shifted around in the one-minute clip, but that’s all a red herring. Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) speaks to an assembly boasting some of the underworld’s deadliest on Tattooine.

It’s time for a new world order now. While one of the dinner attendees wonders what’s stopping them from killing Boba, our eponymous not-bounty hunter reminds him that “cooperation makes us all rich.” Fennec persuades them to follow Boba Fett’s lead, especially since Jabba’s gone.
Amid the stunning fight sequences, we see something new — a woman pull up on a bike. Sophie Thatcher plays her, and as of now, her name is unknown. She appears to be part of a street crew on Tattooine.
Also joining The Book of Boba Fett is Jennifer Beals as a Twi’lek (like Bib Fortuna), but, like everything else in the Star Wars universe, we don’t know much about her character beyond that.
I think there’s a wealth of material for the show to explore, notably regarding the seedy underbelly of Tattooine. The Book of Boba Fett has a “mafia movie” vibe, which I dig. I can get behind Boba Fett becoming a crime lord and kicking butt.
The Book of Boba Fett premieres Wednesday, December 29, on Disney Plus. Watch the clip below!
