Disney and Lucasfilm are giving up on Boba Fett. Kathleen Kennedy of Lucasfilm confirmed the news with reporter Erick Weber at a Black Panther event on Thursday.

Disney had tried to revive the Boba Fett project by attaching director James Mangold this May. Disney had no comment about Mangold’s fate but they did talk about where in the Star Wars universe they do want to focus their energy.

The Jon Favreau-produced Star Wars streaming series The Mandalorian is going full steam ahead. It will air on Disney’s exclusive streaming service, which is yet to be launched. There are several big-name directors attached to The Mandalorian, according to Deadline. They include: Star Wars Rebels EP Dave Filoni, Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Black Mirror) and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).

So, sorry Boba Fett fans. Though that movie was never actually given a green light, your bounty hunting dreams have officially been dashed. Looks like Han shot first after all.
