Disney fans, we’ve got exciting projects on the horizon. As reported by Deadline, CEO Bob Iger made a few announcements during the company’s Q1 earnings call on Wednesday.

So, what can we expect from the entertainment juggernaut? Sequels for FrozenToy Story and Zootopia are in the works. Here’s what Iger had to say:

“Today, I’m so pleased to announce that we have sequels in the works from our animation studios to some of our most popular franchises, Toy Story, Frozen and Zootopia. We’ll have more to share about these productions soon, but this is a great example of how we’re leaning into our unrivaled brands and franchises.”

Frozen II hit theaters on November 22, 2019, with stars Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff returning to voice Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff, respectively. Sterling K. Brown and Evan Rachel Wood lent their vocal talents as Mattias and Iduna. The sequel grossed $1.45 billion worldwide.

Toy Story 4 debuted on June 21, 2019. Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Annie Potts reprised their roles as Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Bo Peep, with a star-studded supporting cast including Jordan Peele as Bunny, Keegan-Michael Key as Ducky, Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom and Christina Hendricks as Gabby Gabby. It also featured the late Betty White as Bitey White in one of her final roles. The film raked in $1.07 billion at the global box office.

The sequel announcement for Zootopia is rather late, considering the film took theaters by storm on March 4, 2016. It stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Judy Hopps, Jason Bateman as Nick Wilde, Idris Elba as Chief Bogo and Jenny Slate as Bellwether. Zootopia amassed $1.02 billion globally. In addition, a six-episode animated web short series, Zootopia+, is currently streaming on Disney Plus.

Deadline reports the news of these sequels comes hot on the heels of Disney announcing cost-cutting measures, including the nixing of 7,000 jobs. Iger plans to target $5.5 billion in savings

While I’m excited by the prospect of a Zootopia sequel, I don’t want them to run Toy Story into the ground. Do we need a fifth movie? As for Frozen, the sequel was a letdown compared to its predecessor. We’ll see how it all shakes out.
