Now, the snippet reveals a high-octane action sequence with Natasha (Scarlett Johansson) and Yelena (Florence Pugh) on the run from what appears to be a slew of Red Room agents. We’ve all been there, right?
They’re being pursued by said agents in a dilapidated, abandoned building (it’s always an abandoned building). Yelena leads Natasha to the east side of the building so they can hop on the motorbike that’s waiting for them.
However, one of the Red Roomers is hot on their heels. Yelena unscrews what looks like an out-of-commission tower, and our duo hangs on for dear life as it falls. The Red Roomer pursuant almost slips, but Natasha grabs her hand at the last minute.
The Red Roomer doesn’t want to be saved by our Black Widow, so she wriggles herself free and falls several feet into the waters below. It’s reminiscent of a certain scene in Avengers: Endgame that I still don’t like talking about. The tower crashes into an adjacent building, with Yelena soaring through the window and Natasha still clinging to said tower.
The anticipation for Black Widow is damn near unbearable, especially with the copious amount of setbacks this film has endured over the past year. I can’t wait to finally watch my girl kick ass and take names.
Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, O-T Fagbenle, Rachel Weisz and Ray Winstone. Cate Shortland is at the helm as the director. Eric Pearson penned the script from a story by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson.
